Prior to S/S 2011, I had no idea about Mary Katrantzou and her insane digital prints on fabric, but after viewing S/S 2011, I'm intrigued. They're special because not only are they visually identifiable, but she somehow manages to incorporate the model wearing it, or the person, into the print. Skirts acting as chandeliers, shoulderpads as awnings and lampshade covers, all add to the 3D aspect of the clothes. It's almost like when you look into the print, you can literally see deep into the space, and it goes beyond just a 2D surface.
