DDR / D&G S/S 2010

No I'm not talking about the popular dance game Dance Dance Revolution for which at one point and time in my life I had the personal dance mat for my PS2. I'm talking about DENIM DONE RIGHT, a new feature I'm starting. Denim is one of those fabrics that is VERY hard to pull off as high end / luxurious.
'
The denim skirt on the right, is the perfect wash, and  the mini ruffle detailing adds a detail to denim that makes that piece unique. As a dress, the gown on the right is interesting,  and the lower half gives the upper half of the gown a very relaxed look, without you thinking " What in the hell is denim doing there?"

The sky blue wash of the top on the left is very rare in denim,  and it creates this sense of luxury. The jeans on the right look really nice rolled up, and paired with the boots make the look of the jeans correct and not tacky. Hopefully brands like Rock & Republic, True Religion, and other denim brands will take into consideration denim transformed into pieces like these.
