So far, this season is showing alot of what I'd like to call "CONTRAST NOT COLORBLOCKING", in which designers are throwing tons of color in their collections, but playing around with the shades and hues on a extreme level. Example? Throwing a pale, pastel pink skirt with a shiny, bright, pink neon jacket over it. Alot of the shapes are also more traditional (pre 70's) creating a new twist on things.
FIGHT!!
Shiny pastels with shiny neons at Marc Jacobs.
Harder and softer shades of yellow at Mulberry.
Light, airy mint green veruses a richer, royal green at Carolina Herrera.
Light, softer shades veruses stronger, brighter textures at Ruffian.
