8 COATS TO CONSIDER FOR FALL AND WINTER : WOMENS

So, just like that the weather is back to brisk. So now its time to throw away all your tank tops and save up for a nice coat or leather that will keep you from freezing your ass off. I finally purchased this Zara coat that I featured a few posts earlier, and I'm absolutely in love with it, even more when I'm wearing it. Out of all the pieces I picked out I'm probably most obsessed with the Proenza Schouler placket coat due to its really unique cut and graphic print on the front. 2nd place goes to the Acne Studios shearling jacket at a whopping $2500. Either way, theeir all great coats and all from SSENSE. BTW, don't forget to vote for me in the Mr. Porter Global Style Competition!

5 PIECES FROM NET-A-PORTER FOR THE IMPATIENT

So today was BLAZING hot in NYC. Tomorrow's going to be around 90 degrees, and I'm sure this is going to continue for the next few weeks. It's also fashion week, and even though whats hitting down the runway won't be in stores for another 6 months, you have people like me who just can't wait. Therefore, I've eased your anxiety by providing 5 quick pieces if you really want to pretend you were VIP enough to snag runway pieces right after the show.

hung up fashion.

At first, it was She Wolf fashion, which had sexy silhouettes and skin. Now, "Hung Up" fashion, after the music video by Madonna. This means bright poppy colors, with a mix of a street/urban vibe. And yes, I'm watching the music video.

Balenciaga S/S 2010

D-Squared S/S 2010

Proenza Schouler S/S 2010

The shapes and silhouettes can vary, as long as the bright colors mixed with urban vibe is maintained. Of course there are exceptions  (2nd Balenciaga picture). This woman definitely wants to hit the clubs and dance. Unfortunately, it is a Spring trend, so we will have to wait till September to see more women "Hung Up".
