PERFECT PICK: THREE LOUISVUITTONAGA LOOKS with NET-A-PORTER

So I'm so happy that Nicolas Ghesquiere was announced yesterday via Louis Vuitton's Twitter as the new Artistic Director of the Women's collections. It was LITERALLY the first thing that popped up on my iPhone's notifications and of course I hollered so loud I might have woken up my neighbors. I am a HUGE stan (super-fan) of his work at Balenciaga, and I know that Louis Vuitton is about to get a major overhaul. Since Nicolas doesn't have a collection of his own, its pretty much IMPOSSIBLE to imagine what his aesthetic is, and therefore guess what a Ghesquis Vuitton, or Nicouis Vuitton, or Louis Ghesquitton collection would look like. Even harder to guess, will probably be the handbags, SLG's and accessories that are the money maker for the luxury brand. Instead of butchering his name, maybe merging Louis Vuitton's womenswear history with his Balenciaga resume will give us a little preview....

VOGUE PARIS NOVEMBER 2013

This Vogue Paris cover is so "pretty". I put it in quotations because I HATE the word pretty, and I actually hate the color pink, but for some reason Emanuelle Alt has turned some of my greatest abhors into addictions. It's so interesting to see Gisele Bundchen in such a soft, feminine, innocent light as opposed to her super sexual, naked, Victoria Secret ready photographs. Her hair and makeup are out of this world and really emphasize the "Beaute" theme the issue is about.

5 IN YOUR FACE ACCESSORIES FROM ASOS

Now that falls arriving what's most important is the scarves, jewelry, gloves, boots, hats and maybe even leg warmers that'll REALLY keep you warm for the fall. Looking on ASOS, some of their accessories have probably been the most interesting and out of the ordinary than others. Definitely statement pieces at a fraction of the statement price.

A UNIQUE STEAL FROM BARNEY'S WAREHOUSE

What I love about this Derek Lam piece is  how dynamic the open knit can be. Depending on what you wear underneath it, it can completey change the look of it, whether it be a lighter or darker colored top you pair underneath. Also, with a bandeau top (no Pasties!) it can probably stand on its own as a sexy top with a fitted skirt or pants. For under $300, its definitely a unique steal.

JUUN J. F/W 2013 AD CAMPAIGN

So after buying CR Fashion Book's 3rd issue, this ad campaign by Juun.J was smack-dab in the middle of the FOB and I was obsessed. I love how the hairstyling and look is shared by both the male and female model. The hexagonal silhouette of the outerwear and sweater is a unique look, and gives a really interesting way to style the clothes. Even the logo (though its in the weirdest spot ever :I) gives structure to the photograph and keep the focus on the looks. BTW, don't forget to vote for me in the Mr. Porter Global Style Competition!

5 LUXURY COSTUMES FROM LUISAVIAROMA

Ok, so maybe they're not costumes, but there ARE people out there that live lavishly enough to drop a pretty large penny on a designer piece for my favorite holiday of the year, Halloween. When I worked at Bloomingdale's some women spent $500 on a orange and black Theory dress to wear to some Halloween party, and even though I could never imagine spending that much, some people do need something to wear to that Vogue Paris costume party, right?

PERFECT PICK: SAINT LAURENT ZIPPERED TOP SWEATSHIRT

So  on Sunday I went to the Saint Laurent store in Soho (which actually caught me off guard because the signage had the YSL logo on it and put me under the impression that Saint Laurent was no more) and  after walking around the extremely minimal space with marble everywhere, I stumbled upon the mens section and THOUGHT I saw one of the first pieces Heidi Slimane did for the brand which I loved, but turned out to be a poo new season version I didn't like. Well VOILA, because of course SSENSE was reading my mind and restocked on the sweatshirt. It's so, SO simple yet utilizes the idea of a zipper in such an interesting way going across the chest, almost like a railroad track. I love it, and purchasing it will DEFINELETY be on my bucket list. BTW, don't forget to vote for me in the Mr. Porter Global Style Competition!

6 FUNNY FAVORITES FROM SHOP JEEN

SHOPJEEN.COM probably has some of the funniest pieces you'll ever see in your life (and probably wear if your ballsy enough to buy them). They carry everything, from bacon, burger, and cupcake sweaters to Nokia skirts, and statement hats that have every four letter word, martial status phrase, and 21st century emoji you can think of. If your ever looking for something a little more on the wild side, below is your 101. BTW, don't forget to vote for me in the Mr. Porter Global Style Competition!

US MARIE CLAIRE NOVEMBER 2013: NATALIE PORTMAN

4 STEALS FROM BARNEY'S WAREHOUSE COLUMBUS DAY SALE

So right now (RIGHT THIS SECOND) Barney's is having a pretty phenomenal sale offering an extra 50% off men's suits and women's handbags and 40% off women's and mens accessories. Now I must say I actually went to this year's Barney's Warehouse Sale and these prices are INSANE, 10X better than ANYTHING I saw at the Metropolitan Pavilion. The ultimate steal of them all is the Marc Jacobs bag below, and best of all you don't have to push, shove, or hurt anyone in the process of your purchase! I'm not sure when this ends (probably today) so SHOP SHOP SHOP! BTW, don't forget to vote for me in the Mr. Porter Global Style Competition!
