F/W 2010 : a graphic reminder.

Most of the prints that ive seen on the runways this season arent so literal ( animals, florals). Instead, they are more mosaic prints and details, seen in everyday items/objects.

Marc Jacobs F/W 2010
Very reminiscent of the tiles and wallpaper found in lobbies of luxurious hotels and offices in NYC.

Christian Cota F/W 2010

Doesn't the print of the skirt remind you of lights long and blurry in motion in photographs?

Tracy Reese F/W 2010
Similar to a animal print, with a more ripped twist, almost like a dyed fabric ripped.

Derek Lam F/W 2010
A simple western print, repeated over and over to create a mosaic look.

Diane Von Furstenberg F/W 2010

Lava Lamp anyone?

CHRISTIAN COTA F/W 2010

SHOW: Christian Cota
NOTES:
- Graphic
-Brushstrokes
-Alien
-Space Invaders
-Gold, blue,black
-Ice Queen
-Ice
REVIEW:  I got a very space alien feeling from Christian Cota. With prints that are reminiscent of lights of cars in motion, and brush strokes, it gave me a very painter feel. Some of my favorites was this strapless, wrap dress, with a belt that cinched the waist, and a off the shoulder black dress with streaks of red and gold ( both are in the 1st picture).
a big fan of the hair and makeup though.
