EMILIO PUCCI F/W 2010

Don't know how I feel about the collection. For one, its definetly a step up from the crap they showed last season, which was basically another Balmain collection. This season Peter Dundas seemed to include more of the Pucci prints from the archive, but still just couldn't let go of the Balmain effect.
Especially shown in the left picture, it seems he revives the prints by using sequins to illustrate them, almost as a mosaic. I really like the idea, and its executed well, but the cut is SO Balmain that it cheapens the whole outfit and makes it so done and unoriginal. However, he seemed to work very well with the furs, giving them a very frothy, full look.

Overall, the collection was alright, but the Balmain relations are too strong, and if Dundas wants to keep his job, he needs to stay FAR FAR away from it.

she wolf fashion

so obviously as I am typing this post, im listening to "She Wolf" by Shakira. i'm thinking it would be pretty awesome if someone made a "She Wolf" collection.  but what exactly is a "She Wolf" ? and what exactly would "she" wear? well im thinking sexy, body consious, tight, detailed, pieces, that reveal enough skin to make you look twice, but not enough to make your eyes roll back. letting you know "i can be naked if you want me to " (insert purr noise). similar to Versace S/S 2010. but minus all the techno print. more like this.

Balmain S/S 2010

Lanvin S/S 2010

Givenchy S/S 2010

Marc Jacobs S/S 2010

Gareth Pugh S/S 2010

Dolce & Gabanna S/S 2010

Emilio Pucci S/S 2010

and heres the video for additional refrence

am i spotting a trend?
