PERFECT PICK: INGE JACOBSEN ART

SO, I stumbled upon the artwork of Inge Jacobsen, and I must say it's probably some of the most interesting pieces I've ever seen related to fashion magazines. I've seen people do illustrations of magazine covers, collages but this is quite interesting and super intricate. She takes simple cover artwork and hand embroiders the image utilizng cross stitch methods to make a more textural version of the images she picks. Lets take this Beyonce Dazed cover for example.

browsed through American Apparel's site. i like SOME of their stuff, not everything. and my friend Talia works there, so it was interesting seeing her come home from work and looking at her work outfits.

very Beyonce/Gaga, and very affordable for $30

when styled with other elements (jackets,sweaters, etc.) this would make an amazing piece. $50

just browsed YouTube. found this amazing preformance by Beyonce at the 2009 Europe Music Video Awards. not only is her singing and dancing astounding, but she also is wearing a sexy red number. and the red backdrop totally works without being too overpowering. watch it here
