Dazed and Confused October 2010

The October issue of Dazed and Confused really caught my eye. The cover is stunning, and there's some really great fashion stories inside. My favorite is the lead, based on "evolution". But not like a pokemon, more like a evolution from basics and simplicity to materialization and complexity. I love the editorial and the theme of the issue because its so modern in that designers nowadays focus on the evolution of their brand or the evolution of their themes and aesthetics from one collection or season to the next, unlike the past, where everything was "lets make it prettier, more beautiful, more glamorous". Evolution and technique really requires designers to go beyond that, and this issue really is a great display of what modern fashion has to offer. The Balenciaga was a PERFECT choice for the cover, especially since they're known for stitching together 20,000 different fabrics and materials into one piece.

I am in LOVE with this cover. I see how they were trying to implement the shape of the curls in her hair with the type, which I don't really like, but I love the warmness of the photograph.

Featured in Vogue Paris April 2010, I LOVE this editorial. The colors are so rich and the styling mixed with the location allows the clothes to float.
