VOGUE PARIS NOVEMBER 2013

This Vogue Paris cover is so "pretty". I put it in quotations because I HATE the word pretty, and I actually hate the color pink, but for some reason Emanuelle Alt has turned some of my greatest abhors into addictions. It's so interesting to see Gisele Bundchen in such a soft, feminine, innocent light as opposed to her super sexual, naked, Victoria Secret ready photographs. Her hair and makeup are out of this world and really emphasize the "Beaute" theme the issue is about.

US VOGUE NOVEMBER 2010: LOVE

LOVE the shot, but Anne Hathaway on another Vogue cover?
....................dun dun dun..................

LOVE these two editorials, and the casting is really diverse. It's nice to see Sasha P. in a Vogue US editorial again.
Is it me, or does Stella Tenant seem to always have a simple studio shot of her like this? Theres a similar one of her in V Magazine.

ryan gosling / max payne?

The photography and editorial from Interviews November issue featuring Ryan Gossling has such a Max Payne / Sin City feel to it.  Kudos to Interview for looking up modern imagery. It has a very dark, gritty feel to it.

Interview October 2010

The lead editorial is GREAT. My only issue is for Mert and Marcus, it looks SOOOOOO Klein. Probably because of the stiffness and restraint in the models and the color scheme. But whatever IT STILL LOOKS GREAT ^_^.

Dazed and Confused October 2010

The October issue of Dazed and Confused really caught my eye. The cover is stunning, and there's some really great fashion stories inside. My favorite is the lead, based on "evolution". But not like a pokemon, more like a evolution from basics and simplicity to materialization and complexity. I love the editorial and the theme of the issue because its so modern in that designers nowadays focus on the evolution of their brand or the evolution of their themes and aesthetics from one collection or season to the next, unlike the past, where everything was "lets make it prettier, more beautiful, more glamorous". Evolution and technique really requires designers to go beyond that, and this issue really is a great display of what modern fashion has to offer. The Balenciaga was a PERFECT choice for the cover, especially since they're known for stitching together 20,000 different fabrics and materials into one piece.

EDITORIAL orgasm =o : Vogue Germany October 2010

A great editorial styled by Katie Mossoman and photographed by Sebastian Kim shows the essentials of colorblocking.
The colors are great, and well put together, and not for the sake of putting odd colors for colorblocking. My favorite one is the shot with those high waisted yellow pants. Celinification, its everywhere.

VOGUE MEXICO JUNE 2010.

This cover is by far one of the BEST 2010 has to offer. I love how Tanya squeezes in between the text without it looking too weird. And the styling as well as photography of the complimenting spread is astounding. David Roemer perfectly captures her in movement.
