mcqueen. my print master.

So, a statement was made this morning discussing the future of the Alexander McQueen brand that they will continue the brand after his death. Now, unless McQueen has someone specific in mind to lead the brand,  It would be stupid to leave it up to Gucci Group to decide.  Mainly because McQueen is a fairly young brand, and also because of the direction he has taken within the past few seasons. Previously, McQueen used his own spin on corsets, dresses, tops and shoes. Now he is starting to move into more prints, and the pattern as well as architectural construction of a garment. It would be less difficult for a designer to take over McQueen lets say, 5-8 years ago than now. Prints are a hard thing to create, and it was only McQueens mind that could conceive this great mosaics onto clothing.
Who do you know that can concieve such prints? NOBODY. It's not just like Pucci, where its literal colorful shapes, you can tell these prints took a deep mind and great thought. They are completely avant garde, and are a mixture of the real ( forests, wildlife, deserts) and the unreal ( demons, creatures, aliens). Whoever they chose,  will hopefully have a vast library of information when it comes to graphics  and cut, because that seems to be the direction McQueen is going in.
