VOGUE PARIS NOVEMBER 2013

This Vogue Paris cover is so "pretty". I put it in quotations because I HATE the word pretty, and I actually hate the color pink, but for some reason Emanuelle Alt has turned some of my greatest abhors into addictions. It's so interesting to see Gisele Bundchen in such a soft, feminine, innocent light as opposed to her super sexual, naked, Victoria Secret ready photographs. Her hair and makeup are out of this world and really emphasize the "Beaute" theme the issue is about.

FRESH OFF THE RUNWAY SHOPPING WITH MYTHERESA

               So, fashion week is coming up and In addition to the New York Fashion Week preliminary schedule being posted yesterday, it's that time of the year for everyone to show of their style ( or lack thereof) around NYC for a week. I've seen everything from people wearing almost anything, to nothing at all, a little designer here and there, to full blown Anna Dello Russo runway look 5 seconds after the show ends. How in the hell she does it I don't know, but if your not in a rush like ADR, MyTheresa may be the shopping sanctuary for you. The e-commerce crafted a nifty tag next to certain items that are pretty much the exact look on the runway ( of course with certain modifications for production purposes).  Not only is this a great way for fashion lovers to really get their hands on off the runway merchandise, but also at a good price since we all love a good sale, and MyTheresa is definitely a supporter of that idea. Rihanna too, has shown her love for luxury runway goods, wearing Givenchy MENSWEAR ( yes, I said menswear) looks and posting them up on her personal Instagram, but even penning a song praising her prized possessions.

so today, another model accepted my friend request. it is Caroline Winberg, a swedish model.

at 5'11 she is a beautiful stunner. she has walked for HUGE designers such as Oscar De La Renta, Valentino, and D&G.

she's 24, and has been a Victoria Secret model for the past 5 years. she's currently with IMG Paris. some of her latest work includes Elle Italia, and the Gant F/W 2009 ad campaign. we will be keeping posted on her progress. thanks Caroline!

in other news,  I am very excited for the upcoming fashion week. I'm really excited for Marc Jacobs, Rodarte, and Chanel. by the time that comes around, ill be relocating to the dorms at FIT, so ill be able to work at some fashion shows. thats one of the perks of attending Fashion Institute. when fashion week rolls around, it is truly with ease to get into shows and work. and they definitely look good on any resume. having Calvin Klein on my resume definitely helped me with getting my internship, since i worked at their show for S/S 2010. so if your a student in NYC, and fashion week rolls around, get those locations, times, dates,  your all black outfit, and get ready to work.
