PERFECT PICK: THREE LOUISVUITTONAGA LOOKS with NET-A-PORTER

So I'm so happy that Nicolas Ghesquiere was announced yesterday via Louis Vuitton's Twitter as the new Artistic Director of the Women's collections. It was LITERALLY the first thing that popped up on my iPhone's notifications and of course I hollered so loud I might have woken up my neighbors. I am a HUGE stan (super-fan) of his work at Balenciaga, and I know that Louis Vuitton is about to get a major overhaul. Since Nicolas doesn't have a collection of his own, its pretty much IMPOSSIBLE to imagine what his aesthetic is, and therefore guess what a Ghesquis Vuitton, or Nicouis Vuitton, or Louis Ghesquitton collection would look like. Even harder to guess, will probably be the handbags, SLG's and accessories that are the money maker for the luxury brand. Instead of butchering his name, maybe merging Louis Vuitton's womenswear history with his Balenciaga resume will give us a little preview....

5 IN YOUR FACE ACCESSORIES FROM ASOS

Now that falls arriving what's most important is the scarves, jewelry, gloves, boots, hats and maybe even leg warmers that'll REALLY keep you warm for the fall. Looking on ASOS, some of their accessories have probably been the most interesting and out of the ordinary than others. Definitely statement pieces at a fraction of the statement price.

A UNIQUE STEAL FROM BARNEY'S WAREHOUSE

What I love about this Derek Lam piece is  how dynamic the open knit can be. Depending on what you wear underneath it, it can completey change the look of it, whether it be a lighter or darker colored top you pair underneath. Also, with a bandeau top (no Pasties!) it can probably stand on its own as a sexy top with a fitted skirt or pants. For under $300, its definitely a unique steal.

5 LUXURY COSTUMES FROM LUISAVIAROMA

Ok, so maybe they're not costumes, but there ARE people out there that live lavishly enough to drop a pretty large penny on a designer piece for my favorite holiday of the year, Halloween. When I worked at Bloomingdale's some women spent $500 on a orange and black Theory dress to wear to some Halloween party, and even though I could never imagine spending that much, some people do need something to wear to that Vogue Paris costume party, right?

PERFECT PICK: SAINT LAURENT ZIPPERED TOP SWEATSHIRT

So  on Sunday I went to the Saint Laurent store in Soho (which actually caught me off guard because the signage had the YSL logo on it and put me under the impression that Saint Laurent was no more) and  after walking around the extremely minimal space with marble everywhere, I stumbled upon the mens section and THOUGHT I saw one of the first pieces Heidi Slimane did for the brand which I loved, but turned out to be a poo new season version I didn't like. Well VOILA, because of course SSENSE was reading my mind and restocked on the sweatshirt. It's so, SO simple yet utilizes the idea of a zipper in such an interesting way going across the chest, almost like a railroad track. I love it, and purchasing it will DEFINELETY be on my bucket list. BTW, don't forget to vote for me in the Mr. Porter Global Style Competition!

6 FUNNY FAVORITES FROM SHOP JEEN

SHOPJEEN.COM probably has some of the funniest pieces you'll ever see in your life (and probably wear if your ballsy enough to buy them). They carry everything, from bacon, burger, and cupcake sweaters to Nokia skirts, and statement hats that have every four letter word, martial status phrase, and 21st century emoji you can think of. If your ever looking for something a little more on the wild side, below is your 101. BTW, don't forget to vote for me in the Mr. Porter Global Style Competition!

4 STEALS FROM BARNEY'S WAREHOUSE COLUMBUS DAY SALE

So right now (RIGHT THIS SECOND) Barney's is having a pretty phenomenal sale offering an extra 50% off men's suits and women's handbags and 40% off women's and mens accessories. Now I must say I actually went to this year's Barney's Warehouse Sale and these prices are INSANE, 10X better than ANYTHING I saw at the Metropolitan Pavilion. The ultimate steal of them all is the Marc Jacobs bag below, and best of all you don't have to push, shove, or hurt anyone in the process of your purchase! I'm not sure when this ends (probably today) so SHOP SHOP SHOP! BTW, don't forget to vote for me in the Mr. Porter Global Style Competition!

15 ECCENTRIC ESSENTIALS FROM MODA OPERANDI

I LOVE all the pieces below. Not only because they're insanely cool and unique, but they all have tha level of restraint to be worn over and over and over again. Even the Vivienne Westwood corset can be played around with so many top/bottom combinations and dresses for a unexpected effect. Who would of thought some of these selections, as whimsical as they may seem, can really work more than once, and even for guys (the Equpiment tartan shirt). BTW, don't forget to vote for me in the Mr. Porter Global Style Competition!

8 COATS TO CONSIDER FOR FALL AND WINTER: MENS

So what is a mens jacket without a HOOD! Personally, I love the option of hiding into a warm (hopefully lined) hood, which ups the comfort factor and gives me the impression that I never left my warm bed, even in the soon to come North Pole weather conditions. Marc by Marc Jacobs has probably the two best styles, the leather bomber jacket being my personal favorite, and Burberry's duffle coat has that nifty little patch that I believe covers your mouth for even more anti-cold combat. All from Mr. Porter shop shop shop! Don't forget to vote for me in their Gloabl Style Competition!

8 COATS TO CONSIDER FOR FALL AND WINTER : WOMENS

So, just like that the weather is back to brisk. So now its time to throw away all your tank tops and save up for a nice coat or leather that will keep you from freezing your ass off. I finally purchased this Zara coat that I featured a few posts earlier, and I'm absolutely in love with it, even more when I'm wearing it. Out of all the pieces I picked out I'm probably most obsessed with the Proenza Schouler placket coat due to its really unique cut and graphic print on the front. 2nd place goes to the Acne Studios shearling jacket at a whopping $2500. Either way, theeir all great coats and all from SSENSE. BTW, don't forget to vote for me in the Mr. Porter Global Style Competition!

RALPH LAUREN X COLLETE SOFT RICKY BAG

Now I've seen the Ralph Lauren Soft Ricky bag and I was always on the fence about it due to the colors that were available but this collaboration has me looking at it COMPLETELY different. The touch of blue on the sides of the bag give it a nice pop of color and a very unique appeal.  Both in the Black/Blue White/Blue, the closures and straps are almost reminiscent of a treasure chest, neatly done to fit the design of a handbag. Now all you need is $2229.68 and the bag is all yours. :D

TOP THREE PIECES FROM THE ISABEL MARANT X H&M PREVIEW

So from the looks of the Isabel Marant X H&M collection photos that have surfaced, alot of the collection screams fringy, tweed like tops and sequined pieces that are great as separates, but NOT meant to be together. I'm quite surprised she didn't do a H&M version of her heeled sneakers that have brought here to the forefront recently. Seeing most of the pieces, the best ones tend to be the ultra warm, fuzzy pieces you'll need for that under 20 degree weather in New York or Russia. Either way, it'll be November when the collection releases, so be prepared to invest heavily into these three comfy creations.

PERFECT PICK: CREATIVE RECREATION PONYHAIR CESARIO X

For $190, this is a INSANE steal for what i must say is a very strategically designed sneaker. Usually most exotic or hairy textures on sneakers are a mix between the hair and smooth leather. Instead of going that route, Creative Recreation just COATED the sneaker entirely in Pony-hair, and to make things more interesting, slapped a transparent sole that gives it an EXTREMELY expensive and unique look to it, that can be worn with just about anything. Will DEFINITELY be purchasing these, I just hope they don't shed :|.

THE TOP 5 SNEAKERS FROM KITH NYC

So I stumbled upon (literally) this website that totally mimics my personal style off work. The store, KITH is conveniently located in Soho (problem for me -__-) right next to my job. Surprisingly, I've passed by this store many times, and I feel like at one time I even went inside a few years back, however I NEVER saw or knew they had such a unique array of sneakers and brands. Most similar to Tres Bien Shop with an american twist, Kith carries very offbeat and unusual designs from brands such as Nike, Giuseppe Zanotti, New Balance and others. Even their own clothing brand, has this phenomenal looking pant called the Mercer (chuckles) pant, however they're all COMPLETELY sold out. Not sure if the hands of god are part of the manufacturing process, but I'm definitely going to have to get my hands on a pair after I purchase my first pair of kicks from here.

7 PIECES FROM THE JCREW SHOPFALL SALE

Once again, either I'm totally caught up in other things and completely out of the loop, or I'm just going crazy, but J Crew is having it's 25% off Shop Fall sale, and browsing online, some of the stuff I saw that applied to the discount was SICK. I worked earlier this year at the J Crew sample sale, and to think that some of these goodies (or similar past season styles) were hanging out in the racks definitely makes my love for the brand reach entirely new heights. So since the sale ends at 11:59 tonight, here's your head start to the best of the best.

5 NEW ARRIVALS FROM SSENSE.COM

I'm noticing alot more new arrivals for fall are debuting on SSENSE, and the pieces keep getting better and better. Most of the new arrivals I haven't seen in other stores, and they're really starting to carry more emerging designers and diffusion lines (such as J Brand Ready to Wear and Roksanda Ilincic) with even more unique pieces that I'll need for a top secret VIP event with vampires in Transylvania (if they do exist). Or maybe you'll snag this Roksanda creation for part of someones  Halloween costume. Either way you'll look good.

3 LEATHERS FROM ASOS'S LEATHER JACKET SALE

So, the weather is getting colder and colder every day, personally I can't even think of a recent day that the weather didn't go from 90 to 40 in .05 seconds here in NYC. Luckily, ASOS has a flash sale on leather jackets until 12PM today (GOGOGO!). Up to 50% off on real leather means you need to whip out that credit card quick.
