PERFECT PICK: THREE LOUISVUITTONAGA LOOKS with NET-A-PORTER

So I'm so happy that Nicolas Ghesquiere was announced yesterday via Louis Vuitton's Twitter as the new Artistic Director of the Women's collections. It was LITERALLY the first thing that popped up on my iPhone's notifications and of course I hollered so loud I might have woken up my neighbors. I am a HUGE stan (super-fan) of his work at Balenciaga, and I know that Louis Vuitton is about to get a major overhaul. Since Nicolas doesn't have a collection of his own, its pretty much IMPOSSIBLE to imagine what his aesthetic is, and therefore guess what a Ghesquis Vuitton, or Nicouis Vuitton, or Louis Ghesquitton collection would look like. Even harder to guess, will probably be the handbags, SLG's and accessories that are the money maker for the luxury brand. Instead of butchering his name, maybe merging Louis Vuitton's womenswear history with his Balenciaga resume will give us a little preview....

VIDEO: LOUIS VUITTON S/S 2012

Probably one of my favorite LV collections, and a nice transition from the somewhat dark, bondage obsessed collection of last season. This really displays Marc's talents, and shows hes just fine at LV.

trend: who wears SHORT SHORTS.

For some weird reason, are booty shorts finally getting the respect they deserve on ready-to-wear runways?

BACK ON THE AIR

WOOOOOOO ok got a lot of stuff done within the past two weeks, sorry for my absence. But I'm just in time for the new F/W 2010 ad campaigns so lets check those out.

PRADA - They could have did a LOT better. This is really disappointing and boring and the man shouldn't be in the majority of the photograph.

VERSACE - LOVE IT! Such a nice change from what they usually do, and the background adds a blade runner effect.

CHANEL - I remember the day that Karl was shooting the campaign in the city  and the city was in a frenzy. The result is okay, I kinda see what Karl was going for, but it just doesn't work with the clothes. It also just throws away the whole glacier concept from the show.

LOUIS VUITTON - This ad campaign is STUNNING. The models compliment eachother SO WELL. The composition is amazing, all the models match from the hair to the way their hands touch the bag, and the backdrop matches the theme of the show exactly without being boring. It's almost as if they shot the ad campaign moments before the show.

The internship is okay, but I'm EMPLOYED! AT MACYS! WOOOOOO SO EXCITED! So I'm juggling both, and I'm trying to move into the city for September-October. I'm getting so much important things done and I'm really happy =)

louis vutton custom made bags

So, Louis Vuitton came out with 3 new bags that can be customized with your initials and a stripe in diffrent colors. Here are the 3 bags and a preview of the "customization"

I don't like it. Even thoug that they are at a lower price range, ($400 to $1500), the customization could have been way more creative, anyone can just add their initials and a stripe to a bag, maybe replacing the LV monogram with the initials would have been better?

it was all a dream...but not really...and still is

So I was bored Saturday night and decided to watch the Louis Vuitton F/W 09 show. As I watched the show, I noticed an empty seat at the bottom left side of the screen.

(0:38, 0:50, 1:03,1:12, and many more)

I kept thinking to myself that soon I could fill that empty seat, and get to analyze a collection at the show, front row, with the collection in front of me before my eyes. It's funny how the whole world gets front row seats through YouTube, but I'm pretty sure its a totally different experience being at the show.Of course it is going to take time before I can ever get the honor to attend such a show, and I'm off to a good start with New York Fashion Week this season, but throughout the whole video I kept looking at that empty seat, and when I'll be able to fill it.

christmas fabric?

so it is christmas eve, and as im walking around my house, i notice the curtains in my living room. not only do they have a nice demure christmas feel, but they also could be used as a fabric for a dress of some sort. or at least a jacket. what do you think?

its also giving me a very Louis Vuitton S/S 2010 feel
