MARC JACOBS S/S 2014
Marc Jacobs this season was a shocking surprise. Assuming he wanted to make a statement, everything from the set tot he clothing to the embellishments were as dark as can be. Personally I received a very victorian vibe from the collection, lets say if all those dresses from back in the day were deflated and reworked for now. Shape wise, everything from sporty silhouettes to 40's shapes opting out skirts for shorts created a compacted, yet creative and cohesive idea. Even the palm tree leaf graphic, which can make you think of more recent things like Miami nightlife or Grand Theft Auto, from afar can look like paisley. Overall it was a unique collection to me, definitely not like anything I've seen before. Aside from my favorite looks above which are the most imaginable to a consumer, i wonder how the rest of the collection will do in six months.

ran.t.
- VERY VERY VERY HUGE changes are happening in my life right now. SO as a result, I'm minimizing my internship days from monday-friday to only monday and tuesday. I can't really give you guys the details on these changes, but it is definitely going in a positive direction. I just have to finish this summer here if i want any sort of acceptable future in this industry.
-FASHION WEEK FASHION WEEK FASHION WEEK, thats all im thinking about september needs to come faster ( or more like august for all the early invitations). I'm trying to double the amount of show coverage from last season, which would be around somewhere in the 40's to 60's but im sure we can do it!
-STILL unemployed, still trying to get a job, and I will not freelance. =P or maybe.
-STEFANO Tonchi has fired so many people from W, I am really wondering how the magazine is going to look on his debut issue. Allegedly staffers are loving what hes doing, so its gotta be good.
-CONGRATS TO SALLY SINGER! Even thought I have NEVER picked up the T magazine before, I bet she will do a great job over there.

fashion week : over.
So, Fashion Week is over, it was my first season attending the shows, and it was amazing. First and foremost, I'd like to thank all of the PR people who extended a invitation for me to attend your shows. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I am more than gracious to attend and report. I'm really excited for Oscar De La Renta ( because I was invited, duh LOL), and Elisa Palomino, Siriano, Geller, Cota, and the other shows I will be attending. My favorite shows were De La Renta, Rad Hourani, and Herve Leger. I started at Erro, and ended with Oscar De La Renta, and on the way, met amazing people in the industry who truly inspire me to attain that place "over the rainbow. It was such a thrill to attend certain shows such as Diane Von Furstenberg, and Herve Leger, and see all the personal style emulated in the tents. It was so flattering to see the large amount of readers reading my reviews after I posted them, and I really appreciate everyones support, and with your continued support, we can do even bigger and better things for S/S 2011.
