THROWBACK : ALEXANDER MCQUEEN FALL WINTER 2009

This is definitely one of my top collections. What I love about it the most is the shapes and textiles, the leathers and furs and skins, and how McQueen combined them to create cohesive looks through color.

RIHANNA: GREY HAIR DON'T CARE

SO. Rihanna has dyed her hair once again, this time in what looks to be a silver/grey mix. I think it's cool, but with certain outfits I'm sure its going to look amazing. Does this mean new music? Allegedly she was caught on her way to the studio a month ago. I think I'm not OMG about it because I want her to really do some Kristen McNeammy shocking silver.

Saks Style

So Daria Boxer of Fashionably Bitten and I went on our 2nd trip to Saks Fifth Avenue in NYC. Not only did we take more pictures of the amazing clothes in the store, but we were also able to meet some amazing employees there too!

Great gown on the left, and the shoes on the right are so creative.

Louis Vuitton  necklace (very heavy), and Dior gown on the right. We also went back to the YSL section, and met our favorite employees, and photographed them for their  style.

Maya ( right, Daria of Fashionably Bitten on the left) was wearing a nice tunic top, with boots and a diamond watch.

Another fashionable assosciate ( right)  was wearing Topshop jeans, Zara blazer, and a basic tee.

Seems like Saks employees always have style. We will be returning to Saks on Tuesday, January 11th to  meet a VERY big head designer! Stay posted!

P.S. check out Daria Boxers blog, Fashionably Bitten!

topshop.styled..........again.

so there was a TON of positive rant and rave about my previous topshop.styled post, so i decided to do it again! and this time, without the fashion week references, so we can just focus on looking stylish =)

Very relaxed, yet cool top
Pencil Skirt
Shoes

I KNOW some of you guys may be eh about the skirt, but for me, it makes a good contrast with the top. =)

Coat
Leggings
Flats

i know that some of these combinations might be a little wacky, but in order to achieve that high fashion look, you HAVE to step out of the box and be creative with your looks, while still color coordinating.

Top
Skirt
Boots

The boots bring together the colors in the top and the skirt!

Harden up the look of this dress with some nice heels and accessories!

and soften up this look with a  skirt, and low heels!

let me know what you bought from this Topshop Styled post!

bye.

chanel style.

so today at the internship , one of the pieces that i was in contact with was this dress from Chanel's S/S 2010 show. you can view the photo i took from FAINDENT on TWITTER.

not only is this dress amazing in real life, but the amount of detail and embroidery taken into it is just astounding. it is also a very heavy dress, but definetly worthy of the Chanel name. speaking of Chanel, it is probably one of the most exclusive, private brands out there. it took me forever to find a eyewear store that sold them. now chanel is also insanely expensive, but we here at The FAINDENT, have found 10 pieces that we find "Chanel worthy".

Urban Renewal Knit Dress - Urban Outfitters

definitely resembles the Chanel b/w tweed jackets.

Georgette and Lace Cami Top - Topshop

Karl's style, when he likes to be a little more experimental

Ribbed V-Neck Sweater - Express

when Karl likes to do color, he likes it bold.

Merino marled striped cardigan - Banana Republic

JS Boutique Lace Insert Party Dress - Nordstrom

Brummel Chanel

Womens Stella Raschel Heavyweight - True Religion

might have not been jeans, but there was definitely a lot of white this season.

Luxe Cocktail Bracelet - Jcrew

every Chanel woman has to have her pearls.

and these three jackets from Urban Outfitters  SCREAM Chanel

Kimichi Blue Cropped Lace Jacket - here

Silence & Noise Studded open Blazer - here

BYCORPUS Cropped Zipper Jacket - here

when you start rocking these Chanel inspired styles in your life,  just know you can always count on The FAINDENT.
p.s. i've been getting a lot of good feedback on my blog, and id like to thank you all so much for reading it. but please FOLLOWW!! it can definitely help me out on keeping track of who my readers are, and of course, i want to see YOUR fashion blogs too!

bye.

topshop.styled.

so what is there to say
i really am a fan of Topshop. and the flagship store in SoHo ( which btw, is the only Topshop in all of North America) has the most insane sales on amazing stuff. example? the first time i bought a pair of jeans for $10. yep.) and I must say while browsing, not only did i find nice dresses, similar to pieces on the runway this season, but with nice styling, you can wear the expensive looks for less.

dress $90 -  really nice, reminds me of Balenciaga from this season. would go really nice with simple ankle leggings and some heels for a classic/traditional feel.

jacket $110 - blends right in with Balenciaga's S/S 2010. paired with these trousers and these shoes,  can give off a very futuristic feel.

dress $78 - very Dolce & Gabanna from S/S 2010. just some cute shoes and nice accessories can give you that cute La Dolce Vita look.

all very nice looks here, if your going designer for less.

bye.
